The Susan G. Komen Tri-Cities Race for the CureŽ is much more than a walk/race for runners or fitness walkers. It is an opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to show support of those who are winning the battle against breast cancer or honor loved ones who have lost the battle, and to help raise funds to save lives and end breast cancer forever.

For those who want to compete, it is a registered race with certified layout and official chip timing. But, if you are not interested in competing, and would prefer to walk or cheer, it is a wonderful time to remember our fallen loved ones, support those who are still fighting, rally together with friends, relatives and neighbors and to declare your part in empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the CureŽ is the world's largest and most successful educational and fundraising event for breast cancer with more than 1.3 million people participating in more than 100 races around the country and internationally held each year. The Komen Tri-Cities Race for the Cure was established in 2005 to promote breast health education and screening programs in 22 counties in NE TN, SW VA and Western NC. This year will celebrate our third year as an official Komen Race for the Cure.
